About Us

Our Story

Dr. Nabil Adam, Professor Emeritus, Rutgers University and Co-founder and CEO of Phalcon, LLC, a start-up focusing on AI applications in Medicine and Healthcare. He was a Distinguished Professor of Computer and Information Systems, Professor of Medicine, founding Director of the Rutgers Institute of Data Science, Learning, and Applications (I-DSLA), and Vice-chancellor for Research & Collaborations. He served in government as a Senior Program Manager and Branch Chief at the Science & Technology Directorate at the Department of Homeland Security. His research has been supported by over $23 million in grants/contracts from several federal and state agencies as well as private organizations, including the National Institute of Health, the Department of Homeland Security, the National Science Foundation, the National Security Agency, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the US Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Defense, the National Library of Medicine, NASA, IBM, and SAP. As per the 2020 Stanford University report, he was ranked among the top 2% of scholars worldwide regarding their impact in the field of AI and Image processing. He has been invited to join Sigma Xi, the Scientific Honor Society, as a distinguished member in recognition of his “expertise and dedication to the advancement of scientific research.” The Sigma Xi Society has over 200 members who are Nobel Laureates. Influential scientists who have been members of Sigma Xi include Albert Einstein, Linus Pauling, Barbara McClintock, Sally Ride, Enrico Fermi, Richard Feynman, Francis Crick, James Watson, John Goodenough, and Jennifer Doudna.

Dr. Nabil Adam has been invited by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to represent Phalcon, LLC, at the 2025 Global Innovation Day for Addiction Therapeutics, scheduled for May 25, 2025, as part of the Annual ISAM Global Congress 2025 in Hamburg, Germany. ISAM is the premier global organization dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of addiction. He will have the opportunity to share our AI-based research work on empowering clinicians and supporting Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) patients by providing highly accurate, individualized, deep learning-based predictions of the risk of relapse, overdose, or death. NIH reimburses the conference registration, travel, and lodging costs for May 25-28.

Dr. Nabil Adam has been invited to speak at the upcoming American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) meeting, which will be held in April 2025 and is expected to have over 23,000 scientists and exhibitors. The AACR Annual Meeting is regarded as the most important international cancer research meeting of the year.
